Being a top MS PTFE-lined pipe manufacturer and supplier in Midland, UK, we offer affordable, high-performance piping solutions for demanding applications in chemicals processing, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, and other applications. Our solutions are designed to offer long-term protection, reduce maintenance costs, and transport fluids safely and reliably. The PTFE-lined pipes have the mild steel (MS) strength and the excellent chemical resistance of PTFE. The MS base offers mechanical strength and structural durability, while the PTFE lining offers outstanding resistance to corrosive chemicals, heat and abrasive media. Its double-layer construction makes it the ideal solution for aggressive industrial applications.
MS PTFE lined pipe is a mild steel (MS) pipe internally lined with polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a high-performance fluoropolymer that is extremely resistant to chemicals and non-stick in character. The lining protects the steel from corrosive chemicals, and the pipe is therefore ideally suited for transporting aggressive acids, bases, and solvents in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and food processing applications. PTFE lining offers a smooth, inert surface, while the outer casing of MS adds mechanical strength. Combined, these offer durability, safety, and longevity in abusive environments where normal metal or plastic pipes would reduce their lifespan immediately.

Superior protection against corrosive chemicals.
Reduces friction and enhances flow efficiency.
Withstands high temperatures (up to 260°C) and high pressures.
More affordable than expensive alloys, offering similar performance.
The PTFE lining is usually formed using a paste extrusion or isostatic molding process, then sintered (heat-treated) and mechanically locked into the steel pipe. This ensures strong adhesion and resistance to delamination under pressure or temperature fluctuations.
MS PTFE lined pipes offer superior chemical resistance, corrosion protection, non-stick properties, and cost-efficiency compared to stainless steel or exotic alloys, making them ideal for harsh industrial environments.
Maintenance involves regular inspections for mechanical damage, ensuring proper support to prevent stress, and checking for any signs of lining wear or detachment, especially in demanding service conditions.
MS PTFE lined pipes are widely utilized in chemical plants, pharmaceutical production, acid transfer systems, wastewater treatment facilities, and food processing industries to safely transport corrosive, reactive, or high-purity fluids.
MS PTFE lined pipes are designed to operate in temperatures from -29°C to 200°C (-20°F to 392°F) and can handle pressures up to 10 bar, depending on their design and specific application needs.
